5 Ways to Delight Your Customers

by Admin on November 4, 2009

The saying goes, “When times get tough, the tough get going.” Well, times are tough. What can you do to help your business? Do a little more, deliver more for your your customers.

  1. Do what you say you will do, when you say you will do it (or before). Over-deliver on your promises. Nothing will make you stand out more than delivering great customer service and exceptional products and services.
  2. Listen to your customers. What do they want? What do they need? If what you have to offer isn’t what your customers want and need, change your product. Cut out the extras and specialize in what is wanted and needed and what you can deliver well.
  3. Make things easy. Don’t keep people waiting on the phone. If you can’t give them information right away, take their number and tell them you will call them back within a time frame and then do it. That is just one example of how you can show your customers that you value their time. Another example, would be to actually have a person answer the phone rather than a menu of items that takes you to another menu of items and on and on. Being stuck in phone menus forever is not fun!
  4. Treat vendors and customers alike with respect. If you say you will call at a certain time, do it. When you setup a meeting, be on time. Respecting others earns you respect in return.
  5. Give back. Find ways to give to others. It is the right thing to do and if feels good too! With that in mind, Wharton Website Design and Marketing will donate 10% of all proceeds on our website and internet marketing services to Soldier’s Angels Project Valour IT to help injured troops with technology.
