5 things part 3

by blogmistress on January 21, 2009

So far this week, we have explored bloggin and LinkedIn. Today, we are jumping in and looking at thing number 3 on our list – Facebook.

  1. Blogs
  2. LinkedIn
  3. Facebook
  4. Flickr
  5. YouTube
Facebook gives people the power to share and makes the world more open and connected.

Millions of people use Facebook everyday to keep up with friends, upload an unlimited number of photos, share links and videos, and learn more about the people they meet.

According to Google, Facebook was the number 3 most searched term globally in 2008. Could your business benefit from being a part of that?
Go to Facebook and set up and account. Facebook is a lot more casual than LinkedIn. This is the place where you can let people see the human side of you and your business. People like to do business with people they know. Let people get to know a little about you.
Like you did with LinkedIn, find at least 5 friends to link with (again, feel free to link with me). Look at some of the business pages. If you are ready for it, create your own business page with a link to your website and blog.
Look at Facebook groups. Join a few that have interests similar to your own. Can you think of ways that Facebook could benefit your business?
