More Facebook Changes!

by blogmistress on March 2, 2011

Facebook has made yet more change to our pages!

Notice in the left column, where the choice used to be “admin view”, it now says “hidden posts.” This really makes more sense because the admin view of yesterday is how you saw the posts that Facebook had hidden.

Facebook looks at posts and decides whether or not they think it is spam. If they think it is spam, they hide it. Be sure to look at those hidden posts. On my page, for the most part, they have not been spam but rather a fan who posted a link on my wall. I actually like this feature, however, because it keeps an eye out for me. Just be sure you are checking this on a regular basis.

The other change is Facebook has given us back the ability to see our posts in chronological order. Notice the drop down on the right. You can now choose between top posts and most recent posts. The top posts are what Facebook has decided are the most popular posts for you. I really haven’t liked the “top posts” change. The “top posts” makes it a bit more difficult to engage with fans when you have to go looking for your the most recent posts, comments, etc.

What do you think of the changes? Do you like the top posts order. Let us know!

Key Take-Aways:

  1. Admin view is now listed as hidden posts.
  2. You can now choose between most recent and top posts.

Next Steps:

  1. Leave a comment telling us what you think about all the recent Facebook changes.
  2. Download the Facebook for Business 101 eBook (if you haven’t already).
